Aha Hotels and lodges partners with UJ school of Tourism and Hospitality

Aha hotels and lodges has partnered with the school of Tourism and Hospitality (STH) in the University of Johannesburg. A new lecture room was opened on April 9, at Auckland Park Bunting Road Campus. “We rendered a lecture room and it signifies the start of partnership and it exposes students and other parties to our brand. In other words we are putting our brand to the tourism and hospitality environmental space and accentuate with the school of tourism.

We must be able to formalise our relationship with the school of tourism and we will be able to get access to students as they get qualified, so they can join us after they qualified or during their studies on practical’s,” said Neil Bald, CEO of Aha Hotels and Lodges. Dr. Diane Abrahams, Director of School of Tourism and Hospitality said, “As the STH, industry partnership is keen especially for learning, where we invite key industry partners to collaborate with us. Today we have partnered with Aha Hotels and Lodges as they have very exciting hotel and Lodges in SA. With their dynamic brand they will expose students to what they all about and students will learn about the hotel group, offer them Work Integrated Learning (WIL) programme.”

The partnership with Aha will help benefit students because everything done at STH must ultimately have a positive impact on students. They are hoping to achieve their students get placed in companies such as Aha Hotels and Lodges, helping them establish careers in the hospitality industry.
