ATM’s ANXIETY ON REOPENING OF SCHOOLS

The African Transformation Movement (ATM) has noted the presentation by the Department of Basic Education to reopen the schooling term for priority grades 7 and 12 for the first phase of the reopening of the schooling term with great concern. Although this presentation by the Ministry gives leeway in the phasing in of the process of learning and teaching, it lacks adequate planning that informs the decision that was presented by the Minister and her team. CAR ACCIDENT KILLS TWO

Two persons died and one other critically injured when four vehicles crashed on N12 freeway northbound near Elands interchange in the City of Ekurhuleni earlier this morning at around eleven o`clock.   City of Ekurhuleni Emergency services rescue team and paramedics received the call at 11H18 and swiftly responded to the scene for intervention. On arrival, two light motor vehicles (Bakkies) and two trucks were found to have been involved in a crash. METRO COP LINKED TO HIJACKINGS

The police this afternoon arrested two men one of them a member of the EMPD, minutes after hijacking a truck on the N12 in Boksburg.The suspects were caught a few meters from the scene of a hijacking. The men had allegedly just hijacked a truck carrying surgical masks when the police pounced.When the suspects saw the police they sped off in a white VW Polo which was later involved in an accident.
