Rolfa squad up in arms to clinch OR Tambo Sochini tournament

A mighty team(Rolfa Squad) made up of 18 outstanding players that were picked from different soccer leagues (KLFA and GLFA) in the Kathorus area promises to outshine the teams it will be competing against in the upcoming OR Tambo Sochini Games.

The coach of the newly formed soccer team, Nkosinathi Mthimkhulu, disclosed his idealistic plan in preparing for the games that will commence on the 18th of September, saying, “We are going there to compete and win the tournament. My plan is to get two or more players in my team to be scouted by other well-established teams during the tournament; I solely believe that if what I envision happens, more players in our area will be motivated to take their soccer careers seriously.

“I have also acquired Caf C license coaching certificate recently and it will be an honour for me to apply what I have learned at school practically by coaching this team, hence we are going there to win the tournament,” he uttered.

Vernon Peterson a player of the novel team couldn’t hold back his excitement, stating as follows, “I feel happy to be picked for the team, I have always dreamt of representing my Kathorus community at a competitive level as a player. We have to work hard as a team and take our training sessions seriously in order to achieve our goal of winning the tournament,” he expressed.

Samukelo Shabangu another player of the team who also seized the chance to divulge his overall journey in joining the astonishing team said, “I was a bit engulfed by fear when I was chosen to play for this team, but now I have settled in quite good. It has happened effortlessly because I’m surrounded by players who have a winning mentality, I’m happy to be part of this squad, we are all prepared and eager to compete as a team in the upcoming tournament,” he stated,
