Youngage Foundations Npc, which is a nonprofit organisation that focuses on educational programs, women and girls initiatives held its third annual Santa Shoe Box this year.
The initiative amazingly gave 400 children in Ekurhuleni township a Santa Shoe Box full of hope and joy. The goal is to empower children from extremely disadvantaged backgrounds by providing lots of love, good memories, and smiles. The Santa Shoe Box contained a new pair of school shoes, hygiene supplies, and a new reading book. Organisations such as SGS South Africa, CentriQ Insurance, and The 100% Foundation have proudly sponsored and supported the Foundation’s efforts to provide these children with an educational and health Christmas box.
SGS South Africa donated to 200 children with the belief that education is the key to success. The organisation expressed that they wish every child a happy Christmas and a prosperous, safe festive season, and encourage children to step into 2026 with confidence and motivation. CentriQ Insurance furthermore assisted 100 children in receiving their Santa Shoe Boxes, preparing them to face 2026 with confidence and resilience. CentriQ Insurance convey genuine care about children and communities in South Africa.
Louisa Molise, the Foundation’s founder, has expressed the importance of community and learner support, saying that it takes a village to raise a child, and she is excited and grateful for the support received from SGS South Africa, CentriQ Insurance, and The 100% Foundation, in enabling school children to feel loved, empowered, and valued. Molise also mentioned that by 2026, the foundation hopes to expand the Santa Shoe Box to reach 2000 children and provide support and motivation to learners. The founder gave her utmost gratitude to volunteers and her team, friends and families, who have supported the 2025 Santa Shoe Box.
“2026 is the year of enabling schoolchildren to achieve their educational dreams, stay in school, and learn while having fun,” attested Molise. The passionate woman additionally mentioned that they will be engaged in the Annual Back to School Shoes, helping those children without a pair of school shoes to finally own a pair and walk their journey to school with confidence and excitement.
