A local business celebrates its lifespan

Soma Meat Emporium grocery store and Fast foods which is based in Daveyton Ext 3, 61181 Pitje Street celebrated its 10th year anniversary on the 3rd of April.

As the local business celebrated its milestone, its owner (Ashley Mabogoane) encourages consumers to seize the great grocery specials that will be offered by the shopping hub throughout the month of April.

The shopping zone that comprises of a bulk supplying division, braai area, grocery store, butchery, Small café, offal area and a veggie stall celebrated its lifespan in style by offering bargain prices.

Ashley Mabogoane said in elation that, “in our business we provide fresh products and quality meat at affordable prices; I always encourage my stuff members to be friendly to our customers.“However we chose to celebrate the existence of our business because it’s believed that black businesses don’t survive for more than three years, so for my business it’s a different story because it has lasted for ten years, therefore instead of seeing that as a miracle I thought it would be a great gesture to celebrate the milestone.

“In the business zone we have a butchery that provides tasty and tender meat on daily basis; within it we only supply super grades meats to clients at real value for money prices and our grocery store also provides convenient grocery items to our customers’ on daily basis.

“Within our bulk supply division we sell wholesale products that we pack, process and distribute to our consumers that are catering companies and other general proceedings like funerals, tombstones unveilings,” he uttered.

He continued divulging more about his business, stating that, “we do supply meat to other braaing outlets (Chesa Nyamas) and 25 additional petrol stations in various areas stretching to Tembisa,Soweto, Pretoria and up to Witbank. I have employed 13 stuff members and I’m running month long specials and every week and every day we will have different specials for our customers as a way of thanking them for their loyal support and we are also appealing to other community members to support us.

“I chose to celebrate during this month because I want to accommodate people who are in the festive mood; and what inspired me to open my own business ten years ago was that I wanted to inspire young people to be entrepreneurs rather than job seekers,” he concluded in joy.
