On Tuesday 22 November 2022 at about 15:20 in the afternoon, the Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD) Bronberg Precinct officers, arrested an African male suspect for assault, with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH).
The EMPD officers received information that there was a suspect sought for an assault GBH case. It is alleged that the suspect, had a verbal confrontation with his colleague that escalated into a physical altercation, where he assaulted the victim and fled the scene. The officers, followed up on the information and located the 35-year-old suspect, in the Benoni area on Birmingham Street, by Actonville.
The suspect was immediately arrested and detained for assault GBH, at the Benoni police station and will soon appear, in the Benoni Magistrate Court.
