ActionSA gears up for elections

ActionSA canvassed in Dukathole informal settlement (Germiston) on the 27th of March 2021, and the president (Herman Mashaba) of the new party shared, saying, “our people are living in worse conditions than pigs after twenty-seven (27) years of democracy.”While the party was recruiting members, coloured residents and the youth living in the informal settlement divulged how they are discriminated and limited from accessing job opportunities in their own country.

They vividly expressed that they feel sidelined by the ruling party, because they are unemployed and grossly subjected to poverty. However, the president of the tender aged party(ActionSA)Herman Mashaba convinced them to vote in order for them to transform their lives.

He extensively alluded, saying: “fellow South Africans we have a new task ahead of us, the damage that has been done for the past twenty-seven (27) years can be undone, South Africa is saveable, for us to save our country we have to start with the ultimate goal of removing the ANC from power; I was convinced that I’m the only person who was worried about the state of our country, but by talking to the community members, I have hope because people are angry and they have heard enough of the ANC.

“it is critical that we don’t discourage people from voting, because in the last elections there are most people who didn’t turn out to vote than those who came to vote. Only ten (10) million people voted for the ANC on the last elections, and 18.3 million people didn’t turn out to vote, so are hoping to win over those who didn’t vote,” Mashaba alluded.

Roshnee Trollip a resident of Dukathole expressed herself , stating: “As coloureds we are excluded in the key sectors of our country, we are a race that continues to be marginalised and segregated, but now we put our hope in you Herman Mashaba, please help us,” she appealed to the leader of ActionSA.

Another resident of the area, Olivia Peterson confided to the ActionSA’s leader. “We grew up in this area, but at the end of the day we are nothing, when there are job opportunities there are no coloureds, even when they are giving out food parcels we don’t get anything, what did we do wrong, we are tired of this, only people who live in block 4 get jobs and they are ANC members,” she expressed.

Herman Mashaba responded by sayings, “Firstly we need to remove ANC from power, if it’s possible we are going to take over the municipality as ActionSA and you are going to be treated as a South African not as coloureds or Shangaans, and your issue will be fixed,” Mashaba promised.
