The president of ActionSA, Herman Mashaba expressed that he wants to stop corruption as he visited the residents of Masechaba in Duduza Ekurhuleni who are having electricity supply problems in their area.
In the last past few months, the Eskom substation exploded leaving households without electricity. This has proven to be the most difficult months for the residents of Duduza.
ActionSA’s president, Herman Mashaba, said that corrupt public servants must face the consequences of their actions. And that everyone has the right to live in dignity. They will adopt a pro-poor plan action that will ensure all residents have access to quality basic services.
“We will make sure that we put our people first and their needs. Over and above the voice is in the community of Duduza to make sure that in the next few weeks they vote for ActionSA so that they can see the change. They should not wait for 27 years to vote us out if we are not delivering our promises to the community. Let’s fix South Africa as one,” said Herma Mashaba.
Tlhogi Moseki who is a mayoral candidate said that their focus is on things that move South Africa forward from an era of broken promises, corruption and a failed government. The people have been lied to, they have been promised free houses and infrastructure development like roads, water and most importantly electricity that they are complaining about.
Community leader Mpho said that they are very frustrated about the situation and they believe that corruption is taking place in their community.
“This has been so hard for everyone because we have children who have to go to school to study in the dark and they endured that throughout the month, and still electricity has not yet been supplied to us the residents of Duduza. I hope and I know that ActionSA will bring about change to the community and since they came and listened to our cries we really do see the change that they are saying they will provide to us the residents of Duduza. Now it is up to us to vote for ActionSA, so they can give us a safe and secure municipality,” said the spokesperson of the community Mpho.
Herman Mashaba concluded by saying he will change the direction of the country by being an alternative to the political parties that have failed South Africa.
