Africa Day Celebration

Striving to impact all Africans to be productive and competent and planning to have more local academics to be involved in providing solutions to problems that are faced in communities, Thokoza Progressive Youth (TPY) celebrated Africa Day on the 25th of May 2022 at Nkaki Street Thokoza Church Hall.

Thokoza Progressive Youth (TPY) is a youth development organization that empowers youth from underprivileged socio-economic backgrounds by initiating sustainable projects that holistically assist in skills development, education, training, poverty alleviation, and enterprise development.

Nokuzola Buthelezi who is the Advice and Referrals Officer said, “Africa Day is an opportunity to celebrate African diversity and success, and to celebrate this day as it presents an opportunity to learn more about Africans”.

Intending to impact all Africans to be productive and competent, TPY plans to have more local academics to be involved in providing solutions to problems that are in the communities

Africa Day entailed in-lighting lectures from the panel of guest speakers and they were also honoured by Hope Kay who sang on the celebration day.
