African Academy for Engineering and Drafting hosts a tour

African Academy for Engineering and Drafting in Boksburg recently organised a career tour for Grade 12 learners from Germiston High School.

This event aimed to offer an engaging career expo experience and a sneak peek into the vast opportunities available in engineering and drafting.

The marketing coordinator of the academy, Portia Mbangula, said the tour was filled with an indomitable spirit of collaboration and innovation as learners stepped into the academy’s realm with eager anticipation.

“Upon entering the academy, the learners were met with a spectacle that left them in awe.

“What awaited them was not just a visit, but an experience that would shape their futures.

“The state-of-the-art facilities and passionate teachers at the academy exuded a sense of vitality and purpose, igniting a spark within the Germiston High bright minds.”

Mbangula said as the learners explored the technical drawings and innovative projects at the academy, they began to realise the potential to revolutionise the world of design and technological innovation.

“It was here that they understood that the African Academy was more than just an institution; it was a launchpad to industrial kingdoms where their ideas could flourish.

“Guided by staff whose vibrant energy knew no bounds, learners were motivated to push their limits and carve out a path towards success.”

Mbangula added that the presence of alumni added to the tapestry of inspiration.

“They shared their stories of growth and transformation within the nurturing embrace of the academy, showcasing the impact of education and mentorship on personal and professional development,” said Mbangula.
