Recently, Nkosana dropped three tracks—Somlanda, Angsakhoni, and the title track uHulumeni wothando. The album, set to be released on September 14th, is a labor of love that reflects his journey as an artist and his commitment to spreading love and positivity through music. “The title, uHulumeni wothando, reflects my goal to spread love and positivity through my music,” Nkosana shares.

Reflecting on his upbringing, Nkosana reveals how growing up in Kwa-Thema, Springs, surrounded by the vibrant sounds of African music, deeply influenced his passion for Afropop. “My background and upbringing in Kwa-Thema, Springs, have significantly shaped my music,” he notes. “The rich cultural heritage and vibrant community inspired me to incorporate traditional elements and languages into my sound.”
His journey in music began in his teenage years, inspired by artists like Blaq Diamond. Nkosana started producing music early on, experimenting with fusion sounds and storytelling through lyrics. Balancing personal storytelling with broader messages is crucial to him. “I aim to share my experiences and emotions while conveying universal themes like hope, love, and resilience,” he says.
The upcoming album, uHulumeni wothando, will feature 10 tracks, showcasing his growth as both an artist and a producer. He has collaborated with several talented local artists, including Aphiwe, who brought a unique energy to their track together. “I’m thrilled to have collaborated with talented local artists on my album,” Nkosana reveals. “More exciting features and collaborations are coming soon.”
