MEC Nkosi-Malobane engages Sedibeng schools on safety issues

The Gauteng MEC for Community Safety, Sizakele Nkosi-Malobane, will tomorrow hold a breakfast session with 150 school principals, senior members of the South African Police Service and local leadership at Saul Tsotetsi Sports Centre, Sebokeng as part of Gauteng Government’s school readiness programme. The MEC will also use the opportunity to discuss schools safety issues such as bullying, gangsterism and substance abuse which are prevalent in the area.

The session will culminate with the MEC visiting Fukama Primary School and Fundulwazi Secondary in Sebokeng to assess and evaluate the overall school’s readiness for 2018 academic year and also raise awareness about the importance of staying safe in schooling precincts.
