Siphiwe Mathebula is a young black woman born and bred in the challenging streets of Langaville, who has spent her life using her personal and career experiences to advance her life and the lives of others. She knows there is no definite approach that works for everyone, so she continues to educate herself on different paths of life, by lending a helping hand where she is able to.
Siphiwe is a facilitator of ARISE4HER sanitary pads drive that is established by Arise Black Child, the organisation is primarily focuses on ushering mental revolution that will be a forerunner of socio-economic liberation.
Mathebula told Ekurhuleni News that, “we enable the youth of Africa to do away with complacency, by restructuring and take charge of their lives, their families and their dreams. Arise Black Child subscribes to the ideology of Black Consciousness and equally seeks to empower a black child who is still incarcerated by socio-economic injustices and psychologically subjugated by past injustices. Arise4Her saw it as necessary to donate sanitary pads to girls who come from disadvantaged backgrounds. We are targeting young girls in primary and high schools. So far we have identified girls from kaMkhanqcwa but we want to branch out to other places as well.”
She shared the details as they accepted both monetary and sanitary pads donations. For people to help out in terms of donating they can email to Arise Black Child on the following email address: ariseblackchild@gmail.com or you can also contact or send a Whatsapp to 0617361433. They will be donating all the items that they have managed to collect on the 31st of March 2021.
