In a heartwarming display of community spirit, Motheo Training Institute Trust honored the invitation from Hope Worldwide South Africa which had organized a community service event at Mother’s Love Day Care Centre in Diepsloot.
The event brought together leaders, local officials, and community members to give back and make a meaningful impact.
On the day, attendees rolled up their sleeves to paint play equipment, clean the premises, and engage with the children. Hope Worldwide South Africa generously donated Lego constructive play toys to support the centre’s early childhood development programmes.
The event was a resounding success, boosting the morale of the ECD centre staff and demonstrating the power of collaboration in making a positive impact.
The event was attended by prominent figures, including Rex Molefe, Director of Motheo Training Institute Trust and Chairman of the National Early Childhood Development Alliance( NECDA) and Palesa Tyatyi, the Chief Operations Officer of Motheo Training Institute Trust as well as Dr Marc Aguirre and Gloria Nkosi from Hope Worldwide. Local ward council officials and firefighters also participated, showcasing the strength of community partnerships.
The initiative not only improved the physical environment of the ECD centre but also brought joy and hope to the children and staff. It is a shining example of what can be achieved when communities come together to support one another.
As Rex Molefe aptly put it, “We’re grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others and look forward to future collaborations.” The event is a testament to the impact that collective effort can have on building brighter futures for our communities.
