For nearly a year and a half, Chance Children Home have poured their hearts and souls into the journey of reopening CHANCE Children’s Home, a place that has long been a sanctuary for vulnerable children in need of care, healing, and hope.
Due to the deteriorating condition of the facility, the Home was forced to close its doors, leaving many children without the safe space they so desperately need. However, we have worked tirelessly over the past year to restore and renovate the building, and we are now on the brink of reopening.
Chance Children home is proud to share that the Home now has a completely new board, a dedicated new centre manager, and a passionate team of staff members who have been working day and night to ensure that once again can provide a nurturing environment for children who have suffered from abuse, abandonment, and neglect.
“Thanks to the generous support of Alstom Ubunye, who sponsored major renovations, and Gold1, who kindly repainted the buildings, we are almost there. However, we are faced with one final obstacle: an outstanding municipal bill that is preventing us from opening our doors. This is the last barrier standing between us and the children who urgently need a safe, loving place to heal”.
“We humbly and urgently ask for your help. We are seeking companies or individuals who are willing to assist with the payment of our monthly municipal bill. To ensure full transparency, we have an open book policy, and we would be happy to allow direct payment to the municipal account, without the funds coming through us,” said the spokesperson person of the Chance Home.
Their priority is to get these children the care they so desperately need, and they want to be as open and transparent as possible about how the funds are used.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a profound difference in their mission to create a brighter, safer future for these children.
“Together, we can make this dream a reality and provide them with a place where they can heal, thrive, and feel loved.
Thank you for considering this heartfelt request. Your support means the world to us and to the children we serve,” they said.
