Chris Hani Crossing donated branding material to a new organisation called ‘Kathorus Kreatives’ that comprises of different skilled individuals residing in the Kathorus area.
The Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) that was established last year in January gladly accepted the branding items provided by one of the community empowering shopping hub in the City of Ekurhuleni.
During the handing over ceremony held at Chris Hani Crossing, members of Kathorus Kreatives expressed their gratitude as a collective, led by their chairperson Lungelo Mahlobo, who said, “We would like to thank Chris Hani Crossing for donating these essential items, and we would also like to believe that this is the foundation of a good relationship between us and the mall.“What the mall has done for us is very good, it won’t go unnoticed and as an organisation we are immensely grateful to be assisted in this huge and inspiring way, but we are appealing to other good Samaritans to follow in the mall’s footsteps by assisting us with equipment, property and funds,” he disclosed.
However during the proceedings of the donation ceremony, the marketing manager of Chris Hani Crossing, Lebohang Matlala also took the opportunity to divulge, stating that, “As Chris Hani Crossing we are honoured to offer a helping hand to the organisation, branding plays a pivotal role in every organisation, because most people recognise any company/organisation by its branding. So as a mall we saw it befitting to provide branding material to this NPO because under the COVID-19 pandemic they took it upon themselves to revive and empower local businesses and that benefits community members, in that case their deeds are in parallel with the CSI objectives that need to be carried out by the mall.
“Through this gesture we are also acting upon our obligation in assisting local businesses and community members,” Matlala added.
In closing the ‘Kathorus Kreatives’ members shared in detail, stating that, “Our main objective as an organisation is to unify ‘creatives’ and we want to make sure that we add value to those with talents and skills, people are welcome to invite us when they need ‘creatives’,” said the members as a collective.
