Library services will now be available to library users on weekends. The extended library services will be offered every second Saturday of the month.
”We have received several requests about the opening of libraries on Saturday and are pleased to inform the public that the library doors will now be open on Saturdays from 08h00 until 13h00,” said Karin Muller Head of Libraries, and Information Services in the City.
Muller further stated that although the opening is once a month, it is a great start to provide a better and satisfactory service to Ekurhuleni residents.
Communities are urged to continue using library facilities and parents are urged to register their kids as library patrons and take advantage of the kiddies section and instil the culture of reading from an early age.
