On the 24th of July Novenci hosted a clash of the choirs in Vosloorus, civic centre. This was not just a clash of choirs but a celebratory event.
The group choirs comprised grannies and grandpas.
The clash was between eight choirs, The Novence choir hosted Tshepo Yasechaba (dawn park), Thokoza, Khaya Lethu Old Age Home (Vosloorus), Lindokuhle (Vosloorus Ext2), Sizanani (Kwa-Thema), and Tswaranang ( Duduza) who battled their voices and brought so much entertainment.
The event was well planned as the host sold full house tickets and the amount generated was for fundraising and also catered for the people who attended and the special guests (the choirs).
The hosts expressed their gratitude to the stakeholders who took the initiative to assist in every way and with everything they have donated especially their presence.
The stakeholders Chris Hani Crossing, the SAPS, Ward Counselor, Unitas, Call funeral, Dawood, and City Deep Warehouse played a crucial role in making this event come true. They made sure that the elderly people were well taken care of and assured them that they would always be their support structure in their days of need.
