Community seeks justice for five-year-old Ntombenhle

By Simphiwe Nkosi
Residents of Duduza marched to their local police station last week in search of answers about Ntombenhle Mzima’s death.
“The Gauteng Premier Panyza Lesufi gave the police 72 hours to find the killer. And it has not happened.
“Police officials, 72 hours have long passed. We want answers because the killer might be living among us unaware,” said MMC Nomadlozi Nkosi.
Nkosi mentioned that the community lives in fear because the suspect might strike again.
Community members gave the police 14 days to find the killer, and promised to take matters into their own hands should the killer not be found by then.
Community leaders also voiced out their concerns citing how unpleasant they were of the situation.
“We fear for our children’s lives and safety. Women live in fear because the killer is still moving around freely,” said Nkosi.
Acting station commander Warrant Officer James Mapheleba said no arrests have been made since the case was opened.
“Many people were questioned but none were found guilty.
“I urge people to stop spreading false information on social media,” he said.
