Phumulo Brilliant Malatsi, also known as Physical Da Animal or Mapholisha, is not just an artist. He is the founder, heart, and soul behind Power Circle Media Group (PCMG), an independent creative powerhouse based in South Africa. Hailing from Daveyton, Malatsi turned his personal struggles into a source of strength, using music and storytelling as a way to uplift others.
“I’ve been through so much in life, abuse, homelessness, betrayal, loneliness, but even in all that darkness, I held on to God, my dreams, and the belief that my voice mattered,” he shares. “I knew there were so many talented people out there just like me, gifted, hungry, passionate, but overlooked. So instead of waiting for a door to open, I decided to build my own platform.”
Power Circle Media Group is more than just a record label. It is a movement. It was “born out of pain, passion, and a desire to uplift others,” and focuses on discovering, developing, and amplifying unique voices, especially from underrepresented communities.
The label works across music production, artist management, visual content, storytelling, and brand elevation. It ensures that artists don’t just make music, they build a legacy.
“We’re more than a label. We are a family. A circle of creators, visionaries, and survivors who’ve faced darkness but chose to create light.”
PCMG’s mission is clear. To empower real talent with real stories, To create music that speaks to the soul and moves the culture forward, To use pain and background as fuel to inspire, To become a trusted home for creative freedom, bold storytelling, and world-class music born in the heart of South Africa.
The PCMG sound is a blend of street energy and deep spirit. The label works across genres like Amapiano, Hip Hop, AfroSoul, and AfroPop. Every artist brings something unique to the table.
“We invest in both lyrical truth and sonic innovation, making sure the music isn’t just trending, it’s timeless,” Malatsi explains.

Malatsi says it best, “Power Circle is for the misfits, the dreamers, the ones who come from nothing but still show up with fire in their hearts. It’s not just a label. It’s a movement of creators who’ve turned pain into purpose, and I want to make sure their stories are heard, respected, and felt across the world.”
