In an attempt to uplift the spirits of the populace as the elections draw near, Dr Mbuyiseni Ndlozi paid a visit to the Albert Luthuli community in Daveyton. MMC Nkululeko Dunga and MMC Shakes Manamela were present with him.
Dr Ndlozi talked about a few problems that black communities face. Among them are the SAPS’s purported complicity in criminal activities and ties to organised crime. He discussed the mistreatment that individuals of colour endure at the hands of the SAPS. In light of the most recent service delivery failure, Dr Ndlozi discussed how certain blockages are purposefully caused in order to attract contracts. He argued in favor of the cancellation of some South African bids asserting that some utilise their contacts in government to utilise tenders as a means of enriching themselves.
After those tenders are concluded, he suggested implementing a new system where people are employed for permanent positions with a fixed wage and EPWP is dissolved. Ndlozi added that the EFF wants access to quality healthcare for all people, with clinics operating around the clock and doctors on staff. He went on to say that they want nurses to be humane. Following the recent release of the NSC results, Ndlozi discussed the necessity of building athletic fields in Ekurhuleni that will get government funding, with the government paying sports coaches directly.
He added that daycare should be free and that teachers should receive the same compensation as those in Primary and Secondary Schools.
