EKURHULENI’S REVENUE COLLECTION BLITZ VISITS INDUSTRIES IN BOKSBURG

The City of Ekurhuleni conducted a revenue enhancement blitz at industrial

customers in Boksburg to collect outstanding debt on Friday, 20 September 2024.

Altogether, 12 properties owing the city about R1.4 million were visited. At one of the companies

visited a payment of R205 00.00 was made. An arrangement to pay the outstanding debt was also

made.

The blitz included identifying and disconnecting illegal power connections. An illegal bulk supply to

an informal settlement was also disconnected. Additionally, water meters were removed from

companies that have outstanding debts.

The city urges residents and businesses with overdue accounts to step forward and make payment

arrangements to avoid disconnections.

The revenue enhancement blitzes seek to reduce customer debt, maintain the city’s financial

stability and improve the provision of services.
