The East Rand community came together this past weekend for a thrilling soccer tournament that showcased the talent and passion of local teams, thanks in part to the support of several generous sponsors. The tournament, which took place at Vosloorus Stadium saw 16 team’s teams from the surrounding areas compete in a series of intense matches over the course of two days. Players of all ages and skill levels showed off their abilities on the field, with spectators cheering them on every step of the way.
The competition was fierce, but in the end, Umswenko emerged as the champions, beating out their opponents with skill and determination. Wattville United also put up a great fight, narrowly missing out on the top spot. Throughout the weekend, attendees were treated to a festive atmosphere, with food trucks, music, and other entertainment on hand to keep everyone energized and engaged. In addition to the soccer matches themselves, there were also opportunities for kids and adults alike to test their own skills with soccer-themed activities.
