A tip-off led the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department to the recovery of the stolen BMW X5 abandoned in Daveyton on Monday, 10 March 2025.
Following the tracking system indicating that the vehicle was around Daveyton, the unit located the vehicle next to Skoenplek Informal settlement. Officers found the vehicle abandoned with no occupants at Laris Street. A systems check was conducted, and it came back positive with a Boksburg case number as stolen.
The vehicle was booked at Aeroton impound.
