Family business creatively gives back to the community

Giving back to the community begins with individual heroes. Empathy, compassion, and concern for others are part of our humanity, these characteristics are shown by the Pandor family as they constantly give back to the community.

The Mohsin’s initiatively ran a competition during the back-to-school season by giving customers a 10 % discount from December to January which automatically earned one an entry to winning a 20-inch bike.

They have been running the business uniform for 61 years in Dawn park in Cnr South Boundry and Heidelburg.“As Boundry school wear this is not the first time showing appreciation towards our customers we always run discounts and we donate annually towards schools we have built strong relationships with, “said Moshin Pandor whose parents are Mohammed Pandor and Zubieda Pandor.

One of the learners that won a 20-inch bike is Nokthula Molefe from Egagasi Primary School and Tshepo from Dawn Park Primary School.

The school principal from Egagasi Primary School has expressed his gratitude and said this initiative will strengthen their work relationship with the Moshins.

The Pandor family business has proved that community contribution is not idealism, it is simply seeing the need of a fellow human being, and being prepared to help and make a meaningful difference in the community of Dawn Park.
