Festive jumble sale to help the deprived

AMCARE, an Alberton-based welfare organisation (registered with the Department of Social Development) that renders services to vulnerable people who are infected and affected by HIV/Aids, victims of gender-based violence (GBV), the elderly, is set to host a huge fundraising event called the FESTIVE JUMBLE SALE, on November 29 in Phola Park.
“As we aim to reach the most vulnerable, this event is in line with our dedication to supporting the vulnerable.
“And most importantly it is to ensure that they enjoy the festive season without an empty stomach and that nutritional needs are addressed,” said the institute’s manager Marihet Infantino.
The organisation continues to render services in the communities of Alberton, Phola Park, Eden Park, Greenfields, and the surrounding areas.
The organisation also manages two victim-friendly rooms at two SAPS stations in the communities it serves.
All proceeds will go towards Amcare’s fundraising initiatives.
The manager pleads with the community and surrounding community to join them at Phil’s Park as they come together and make a difference in the lives of the most vulnerable.
