Yesterday (24 Oct) in Palmridge area, the EMPD First Response and Anti-Land Invasion Units Members, arrested four (4) females and the male suspects, before they were detained at Eden Park police station. Charges in relation to, damage to property and encroaching, were levelled against the quartet.
Responding to a complaint from the City Of Ekurhuleni Officials, about four (4) half-finished houses being broken into and invading at Palmridge extension 21 by R550 road, the two (2) specialized EMPD Teams reacted and at 10:30, three (3) females and a male who are between the ages of 25 and 45, found illegally occupying newly build houses, not officially handed over to qualifying owners, were handcuffed. The EMPD Officers, will on intervals patrol and monitor the affected area, until the building project is done and official house owners move in.
The arrested foursome, are expected to appear in the Palmridge Magistrate’s Court soon.
