Tshiamo Khoza and friends organised a Mjolo The Fix (speed dating) event aimed at pairing individual to find their desired partners.
The event was held at Khoza’s place in Kwa-Thema on September 8.
Khoza said the aim was to give ladies and gentlemen a platform that is comfortable and less scary for them to be themselves all the time.
He elaborated that the purpose of the event is to encourage eligible singles to meet new potential partners in a very short period so that interested pairs can continue meeting each other after the event.
“Speed dating is a formalised matchmaking process. Young ladies have children and often experience trouble when it comes to finding another partner.
“Some men are also sometimes too afraid to ask ladies out, setting them up for a few minutes of chat enables people to get to know each other in a short space of time,” he said.
He further mentioned that the structured setup allows each individual to engage with another for 5 minutes, rotating through these interactions for 30 minutes with a 15-minute break in between.
“We plan to bring this experience ekasi, a lot of people want good relationships with incredible individuals and we plan to bring that to them.
“The next event will be held again at month end of September,” he said.
He added that individuals can come and expect the unexpected. Meet new people and share great conversations.
“The age restriction is between 21 and 35. Tickets are R30 per person. Includes games and food stalls.
“It’s Never Too Late To Fall In Love,” Khoza added.
