The South African teen songstress is not just sharing a song; she’s offering a piece of her spiritual journey, wrapped in a blend of gospel, Afro-pop, and resonant pop sounds.
As Alina recounts, her journey was built on a foundation of unwavering family support and personal determination. Growing up in the vibrant landscape of South Africa, Alina’s musical journey began not on a grand stage, but in the intimate setting of her home. It was a dream nurtured by the unwavering support of her uncle, a figure she credits as her father. Like many young teens, her aspirations were simple yet profound to sing. “Growing up in South Africa has been an incredible experience, thanks to the unwavering support of my uncle, who has been a father figure to me,” Alina shares. “As a young teen, I had big dreams of becoming a singer, often belting out tunes in front of the mirror and even in the shower.” Despite her family not being musically inclined and her not playing any instruments, her determination was absolute.
