Golf Day implemented to fight social issues

Anglican Men’s Guild in the Diocese of Highveld will host its annual Golf Day on September 22, at the ERPM Golf Club in Boksburg.
The church which is based in Boksburg, Benoni, and surroundings aims to raise funds for the Young Eagles programme, which is dedicated to empowering young boys aged 10 to 24 and addressing critical social challenges affecting their lives.
The Young Eagles programme is designed to tackle pervasive issues such as teenage pregnancy, substance abuse, bullying, and school drop-out rates. By instilling Christian family values and essential life skills, the programme seeks to guide these young boys toward becoming responsible and respectful men of substance.
Currently, the programme supports 120 boys across 14 parishes, spanning from East Gauteng to Ermelo in Mpumalanga. The funds raised during the Golf Day will facilitate the continuation and expansion of various workshops and activities aimed at fostering personal development and resilience among participants.
The Golf Day will feature several sponsorship packages to encourage community involvement:
Platinum Package (R20,000): Includes two 4-ball entries, guest invitations to the prize-giving dinner, prominent advertising opportunities, and a presentation slot at the event.
Gold Package (R10,000): Offers one 4-ball entry and advertising at a designated hole.
Silver Package (R5,000): Provides one 4-ball entry and advertising at a hole.
Individual golfers can participate for R500, while a 4-ball team can register for R2,000. Non-golfers are also welcome to support the event for R200 per person, which includes dinner and prizes.
