Sizwe Mpiliso is a gospel artist from Kwa-Thema known for his strong and inspirational vocal abilities.
Mpiliso is dedicated to spreading positivity and faith through music. His journey in the gospel industry started in church at the age of 16.
“My path was deeply influenced by the spiritual upbringing within my family and community. I found that expressing my faith through song was the most authentic way for me to connect with others.
“I have always been passionate about music, the driving force behind it was that gospel music is my desire to share messages of hope, love, and faith with the world.
“And I believe in the transformative power of music to touch hearts and uplift souls, and that is what motivates me every day,” he said.
Mpiliso cited that he looks up to other artists such as Benjamin Dube, Fred Hammond, and Marvin Sapp.
He further cited that their talent, passion, and dedication to spreading the gospel through music inspired him to strive for excellence in his own work.
“Over the years, I have had the privilege to collaborate with talented artists within the gospel industry.
“I worked with Xolani Jwaga, Thabang Mothapo, and Spirit of Praise. I have also been fortunate to produce and work on several impactful songs within the gospel genre.
“I have also had the honor to perform at various prestigious venues and events, both locally and internationally,” said Mpiliso.
He said some of his notable work includes Incredible God on Thabang Mothapo’s Album and each song that he has worked on carries a unique message of inspiration.
Mpiliso is currently working on a new project that explores themes of resilience and hope.
“I am working on a new project titled Jesus be lifted. It is a project of resilience, hope, and redemption. It is an exciting endeavor that allows me to delve deeper into my artistic expression and connect with listeners on a profound level. My fans can expect an uplifting blend of new songs infused with soulful melodies and powerful lyrics. While grateful, my focus remains on creating meaningful music that resonates with listeners because music and gospel are a universal language,” added Mpoliso.
Mpiliso furthermore added an interesting fact about himself, saying he draws inspiration from everyday experiences.
“The inspiration comes from encounters in everyday life. I infuse them into my music to create relatable songs. Gospel has a rich history and tradition, it continuously evolves and adapts to contemporary times, reflecting the diverse experiences and perspectives of its listeners,” he added.
