The Gauteng MEC for Human Settlements and Infrastructure Development, Lebohang Maile, on Tuesday 9 April 2024 the MEC handed over newly built homes and title deeds to qualifying beneficiaries in the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality at Salfin. The handing over was done by the MEC of Human Settlement.
The handover of housing units was the handover of title deeds to restore dignity and ensure security of tenure for residents of Ekurhuleni.
Visibility of Different law enforcers were present to safeguard the event.
Engagement as well as a meeting between all community members to reflect on the performance of the Metro on human settlement programmes and the delivery of basic services in various informal settlements.
