On Thursday 22 August 2024 at around 09:00, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department
(EMPD) North Task Team Officers recovered a hijacked White BMW 3 series in Ivory Park Ext 8. As Officers were
on patrol, they received information from a reliable source about a White BMW that had been hijacked in Ivory
Park, Midrand.
Following on the information received, the EMPD North Task Team swiftly responded to the location, and upon
arrival they found a 60 year-old male in possession of the keys of the said vehicle. The man also confessed to
have hijacked the vehicle and was immediately placed under arrest and is detained at Ivory Park police station.
The suspect will appear at Midrand magistrate court soon and the BMW was taken to Aeroton police pound for
further investigation
