An alleged drunk driver plunged into a vibracrete fence securing a house in Vosloorus at Roets Drive (main road) on Monday, September 7, 2020.Sydney Rasiovhoro who was driving a white Toyota Tazz revealed that he was going to buy a beer with his friend when he lost control of the steering wheel, he tried to pull the handbrake up in an effort of stopping the car but it was faulty claims the driver. Busiswe Mgcina who lives in the property where the accident occurred, said to Ekurhuleni news that, “We heard a banging sound while we were in the house with my children, when my children checked outside they shouted loudly in shock and alerted me that a car has crashed into the wall outside the house, i Immediately rushed outside and found two people in the car who seemed to be drunk, the alcohol ban has been lifted now we are witnessing the consequences of it,” Mgcina furious disclosed. She further stated, “The owner of the car was occupying the passenger seat and it seems like both the driver and the owner of the car they don’t have driving licenses,” Mgcina expressed.Fortunately we snatched an opportunity to hear the side of the driver (Sydney Rasiovhoro) who said, “I regret what I’ve done, we were going to buy beer with my friend unfortunately I lost control of the car, I tried to pull the handbrake up but it was faulty so it couldn’t stop the car, it’s just pure badluck,” Rasiovhoro explained.
