Author writes affirmation book for children

Boikokobetso Makhetloane, also known as ‘Mr. Fingerz’ recently launched an affirmation book for children. He says that his love for children and wanting to help children build their confidence is one of the many reasons why he wrote such a book.

Not only is he an author but an entrepreneur, professional voice-over artist, brand strategist, and a Youth Development Coach. The author adds that his biggest goal is to help and build the youth of South Africa, to help them reach their full potential in what they were created to do and live out the vision as well as the dream they have for their lives. “I run a personal development company called ‘Billionaire Season’ and everything I do as ‘Mr. Fingerz’ emanates from my mission to make a difference in people’s lives. In addition, I also run a marketing agency called ‘Black Dominate’. Along the way, I’ve also become a storyteller, public speaker, and an entrepreneur. Hence I wrote this book. I’ve always had a vision of writing a book dedicated to kids. The true inspiration behind this particular book is the fact that I believe confidence is one of the greatest gifts a parent can give their child, but what I’ve observed and seen is that many children grow up without hearing any words of affirmations or any form of encouragement spoken into their lives. In this book I do not seek to change the existing conditions but to also foster character-building traits that can go a long way in instilling confidence in children,” added Makhetloane.

The young man says that although this is his first book, it surely isn’t his last. He plans on releasing the book this coming spring. The author adds that parents and guardians can expect guidance on how they can help their kids tap into a positive mindset, and get to challenge them into learning the importance of using the right words when addressing their children as that enhances the wellbeing of a child. “Challenges I faced when writing the book was trying to find the right people who could understand my vision and bring it to life. This made me realize that when God gives you a vision, you need to go back to the Creator and ask Him how to execute it. However, encouragement and words of wisdom from my dad and being inspired by authors like Brian Bullock, the late Dr. Myles Munroe, and Vusi Thembekwayo teaches one a thing or two about not giving up. In the future, I see myself running my own school and being involved in early childhood development programs in townships and around South Africa. Release more children’s books, entrepreneurship books, traveling the world speaking and impacting a lot of lives,” uttered the author.

The book is said to cater to both girls and boys between the ages of 2 to 11 years old.
