Business park offer emerging entrepreneurs decent workspace

Finding a suitable workspace where one could operate a business can prove to be a challenging task when your business is based in a township.

However, the City of Ekurhuleni’s intervention and grand plan to give support to SMMEs is bearing much fruit as the City established business parks to assist emerging entrepreneurs with workspace.

The Tsakane Business Park is offering local entrepreneurs the workspace to ply their business trade and offers locals a variety of services.

“I have been operating my carpentry business from a garage where the limit of space was a major issue. I could not take up more than one project at a time because the garage did not have much storage space. With the official opening of this business park, I became one of the first tenants to occupy workshop space and that opportunity has enabled me to take up more orders and to grow my business, said Daniel Moremi from Moremi’s Home Improvements and Projects.

“I must state that the City is very considerate to the plight of emerging entrepreneurs. The amount of money that we pay towards renting the property is affordable and allows me to use my profit towards growing my business.

He said “the City’s involvement in nurturing SMMEs is commendable. The addition of work tools by the City has enabled me to work much more effectively and I am grateful for this opportunity”.
