New station commander for the Daveyton SAPS

On the 11th of January 2024, Colonel Khumbulani Ndaba graced the Daveyton SAPS station with his presence as the newly appointed station commander of the Daveyton SAPS.

Colonel Ndaba has been on the police force since 1991, where he started working as a student constable at Estcort police station in KZN. He was then deployed to work at Oudtshoorn Public Order Policing for a few months and in 1992, he was transferred to Nuffield Public Order Policing in Gauteng where he started working with the rank of a constable to the rank of a captain for 13 years.

In 2005 he was then promoted to a rank of superintendent which is now changed to a rank of a Lieutenant Colonel, as a Vispol Commander at Boksburg SAPS. He worked at Boksburg Saps as a Vispol Commander for 15 years where he also acted as the station Commander in the absence of the station Commander.

In 2020 he was then promoted to the rank of Colonel and transferred to Benoni Saps as the Vispol Commander where he would also act as the station Commander in the absence of the actual station Commander.

Ndaba is determined to bring change in terms of crime:

  • Conduct more arrests of known suspects.
