On the 16th of November 2021, Police officers were tipped off the suspects who were in possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition around Angelo informal Settlement, in the Boksburg area. The Information was shared with the members of the ECC TASK, Public Order Policing and Tactical Response Team and an intelligence-driven disruptive operation was conducted and two suspects were arrested for being in possession of unlicensed ammunition wherein 20 RP 45 Auto rounds, 38 RP 45 mm and 5 9 mm rounds were seized from the Suspects.
Still in Ekurhuleni District, on the 15th of November 2021 at about 17:45 Crime Intelligence members got a tip-off regarding suspects who were in possession of counterfeit goods at N12 Road from Delmas. The suspects were driving a Volkswagen bakkie with a plate number of Gauteng Province carrying counterfeit Tekkies of assorted Brands such as Nike and Adidas to an estimated value of R50 000,00. Information was immediately liaised with K9 unit members to assist with the operation and three suspects aged between 31 to 34 years old were cornered at N12 Springs road and detained at Springs SAPS. The suspects were also charged for bribery after they wanted to bribe the Police with R6000,00.
