Mall of the People, Daveyton Mall, hosted its first one-of-a-kind talent show for the community of Daveyton on the 12th of August 2023 at its premises.
The Daveyton’s Got Talent show provided its shoppers with a unique opportunity to exhibit their skills on stage.
“We wanted to highlight the unique talent we have here in Daveyton Mall and also to embrace young talent that is hidden on the streets of Daveyton,” said the Marketing Manager of the mall, Lebo Moloi.
She further mentioned that the talent show was to show the importance of empowering young talent and helping the community members. Daveyton Mall is a community mall, so we need to include the community in our campaigns as a form of giving back to them.
The mall received 100 entries and 30 who auditioned for the show, and only three winners were selected.
Prices won worth an amount of R10 000 that was shared amongst the three winners.
