Executive Mayor, Alderman Sivuyile Ngodwana, and Members of the Mayoral Committee went to Duduza on Friday, 16 February. This was part of the Masisebenzeni Mayoral outreach program that happens in communities every two weeks.
Masisebenzeni has been to different communities since it started last year after The People’s Government took over. All MMCs responsible check service delivery levels to try and make things better.
During the Duduza visit, they focused on water provision, checking progress on the Masechaba reservoir which will start giving water in two years.
They also worked on other projects like making entrances nicer and cleaning up illegal dumping. The day ended with a meeting with stakeholders to hear their thoughts on service delivery in Duduza and other issues.
