Licensing centers across the city are currently experiencing difficulty when processing vehicle registrations and various licensing claims due to technical glitches with the National Traffic Information System (eNATIS). The problem started yesterday afternoon.
The eNatis is the competency of the National Department of Transport and its functionality is controlled by that department.
In the meantime, the city has made a contingency plan to assist license renewal customers who were turned back at the licensing centers due to the current system glitch to return anytime within 14 days of their original appointment to renew their documents.
The licensing department’s operating hours are:
- 08h00 to 15h00 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday)
- 09h00 to 15h00 on Wednesdays; and
- 08h00 to 12h00 on Saturdays.
The city apologizes for the inconvenience caused by the system downtime.
