FF Plus’s launch of economic recovery plan for SA

The serious economic decline of South Africa under ANC rule created an urgent need for compiling a feasible, comprehensive and expert plan to get the country’s economy back on the right track.

The FF Plus is confident that the ANC government will soon be replaced by a coalition government, of which the FF Plus will form an integral part.

When that happens, the necessary plans must be in place to rectify the damage that the ANC caused on the economic front and elsewhere through its policy and incompetence.

This economic recovery plan was developed in cooperation with the political economist, Prof.  Jannie Rossouw, and Mr Mike Holland, an economist and director of PriceMetrics, an economic research company that specialises in competition and regulatory economics.

The plan offers, among other things, a critical analysis of the reasons behind the economic decline under ANC rule, and discusses policy factors, like Black Economic Empowerment (BEE), and the significant role of the private sector.

An important finding is that economic recovery is indeed possible, but that it will be a difficult road requiring drastic interventions and institutional adjustments.
