Between Thursday 29 and Friday 30 June 2023, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) CLU and LIU Officers, steered a crime prevention operation where four (4) male suspects, who are between the ages of 23 and 40, were apprehended.
The Officers received intelligent information about suspects sought for arrest and the intel, was followed up. The first suspect aged 35 wanted for murder, was located at Violia Street Extension 2, in the Tsakane area by Geluksdal. The 23-year-old suspect sought for assault (GBH), was found at More Street, in Kwa-Thema area. The third suspect, aged 40 sought for assault (GBH), was cornered at Maphanya Street, in Kwa-Thema area.
Furthermore, one more suspect aged 30, was arrested for robbery at Mapheleba Street, in Kwa-Thema area. All four (4) suspects were arrested and detained at the Kwa-Thema Police Station and are expected, to appear at the Kwa-Thema Magistrate Court soon.
