Join the conversation: renaming city public spaces

The City of Ekurhuleni, in its quest to redress the injustices of the past and build social cohesion, is continuing to name and rename public facilities through participatory processes.

The city’s Department of Sport, Heritage, Recreation, Arts and Culture has been tasked to facilitate the public participation process. Among the facilities that will be renamed after this process are roads historically named Kaffirboom Crescent in Kempton Park, Wagenaar Road in Edenvale and Harmonie Road in Bapsfontein.
