Local restaurant fights unemployment

De Grill spot restaurant situated in Vosloorus Extension 14, led by Makhosonke Radasi and Lebo (Mr As’bonge) Thubela has gained loyal customers for their service. These men have had the restaurant idea for a long time and have learned about restaurant running from their associates and small businesses around Vosloorus.

They believe that having the right people to mentor you and building relationships with other restaurants is a good way to run a business and that being an entrepreneur is about taking risks and making sacrifices.

The restaurant started running last year February and it was closed due to some challenges faced during the global pandemic. On the 11th of February 2022, they had a re-launch. The re-launch was a success because their business has been running smoothly. They have employed six people from the community of Vosloorus and they are making sure that they work well with them because “A happy employee is a productive one.”

Their services include selling top-class plates, grilled meat, and family platters, event hosting such as baby showers, and other events. They also do Hookah pipe rentals; their rentals are safe because everyone has a separate mouthpiece they get with the Hookah pipe.

These business owners are not only focusing on their restaurant they are also local DJs and they know how to entertain people. Makhosonke also started a mobile car wash, Makho Mobile Car Wash that began running on the 8th of January 2021. It caters to the people of Vosloorus and surrounding areas.
