Mothers encouraged to groom future leaders

The Kingdom Pillars Ministries International (KPMI) based in Cloverdene, Daveyton in the City of Ekurhuleni held a special Mother’s Day service last weekend.

The priestess Bridgette Shongwe, who is the wife of the founder of church, Apostle Mathokoza Samuel Shongwe, hosted the event and also delivered a speech, saying: “As mothers, God has chosen us in his sovereignty to take care of our biological children or those we foster in his behalf. This is a reflection of the level of trust God has placed upon us, as mothers. The love that He has given us has ‘enough room’ to embrace everyone around us and happy Mother’s Day,” she addressed.

A keynote speaker Pastor Thobile Mhlanga gave a sermon extracted from the holy bible he conveyed a message from Numbers 6:24-26 NKJV.

“I’m here to remind Mothers to realize that you are blessed by the Lord and this gift that has been bestowed onto you should reflect first in your homes, the church, the communities you live in and the nation at large. Let us collectively stand up in strength in order to deal with social ills affecting our children and mould them into God fearing children. With these guidelines we will be able to bring up our children in a Godly way. This is the only way to nurture next generation of teachers,” said Mhlanga.

Apostle Bridgette Shongwe summed up saying, “It is the desire of our church KPMI to share the true gospel of Jesus Christ which brings liberation to the spirit, body and soul. For this to happen, the gospel has to be preached to all mankind without prejudice, this is done in-line with the love taught to us by our Lord God Almighty.”
