Nedbank Cup 2023 edition reaches midway point

The Nedbank Cup is at the halfway point with only eight teams remaining following another entertaining set of fixtures in the round of 16. The Premier Soccer League (PSL) and tournament sponsor, Nedbank hosted the quarter-final draw as team representatives waited in anticipation to see whom they will be facing.

Nedbank’s Executive Head for Group Marketing, Nthabiseng Matshekga, said: ‘The halfway point of the competition is really when teams turn it up a notch as they have their sights set on the semi-finals and going all the way. Nedbank has dedicated 16 years to growing football from the grassroots level in South Africa and will continue to do so. Looking back at the past 16 years, we are grateful for the successful partnership that we have enjoyed with the PSL, and we look forward to many more years of the Nedbank Cup. Well done to the teams who have made it this far – we wish you the best of luck going into the quarterfinals!’

As only eight teams remain in the 16th edition of the Nedbank Cup, the quarterfinals are sure to continue bringing South Africans the entertaining knockout football that they love.
