The Executive Mayor of the City of Ekurhuleni, Ald. Tania Campbell received an award for leadership excellence and a clean audit at the South African Local Government Association’s (SALGA) Women Municipal Leadership Excellence Awards held on, 25 August 2022 at Birchwood Hotel and Conference Centre.
The Awards recognises women leadership excellence and celebrate women leaders who have achieved clean audits in terms of the Auditor General Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA) reporting. The City of Ekurhuleni is one of the fifteen female led municipalities awarded for a clean audit.
“I am honoured to be among the fifteen female mayors recognised for their bit towards improving the lives of our people. It would be remiss of me if I do not sound my heartfelt appreciation to the City Manager, Dr Imogen Mashazi who is also a female leader in our municipality and all members of the council for working side by side with me in ensuring good governance in the city”, said Executive Mayor Campbell.
