On Friday 03 May 2024 at 11:00, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Bronberg Precinct Officers, nabbed a 29-year-old male suspect, for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH), in the Daveyton area.
The 37-year-old male victim alleges that he was at the Mabuya sports ground with his friends when he cracked a joke and said one of the friends, was the boss of the criminal gang known as the OVL. The friend, who is the suspect, responded by pouring beer on him. The surprised victim, further stated that the same thing was said by another friend, but the suspect did not react at all. The suspect pushed the victim and the victim, pushed him back. The furious suspect came back and stabbed the victim, with a cracked beer bottle in the neck and the right hand before the victim fell on the ground.
The EMPD Officers located the suspect and he was arrested and detained, at the Daveyton police station and will soon appear before the Magistrate Court.
