Famously known musicians(Big Zulu, Kwesta, Siya Shezi, Boohle and many more) captivated the music fanatics who came in numbers to have a good time at the annual event themed ‘Siluma shutdown’ which was held at Isolomzi conference centre, in Palmridge, October 2.
All the musicians that performed on the uniquely structured stage were treasured and hailed by the attendees.
However Big Zulu really shut down the arena when he performed his hit song called ‘Vuma Dlozi’ at the fully packed arena. The song was well received by the audience, they even sang along Big Zulu when he performed it on stage.
When the event organiser, Xolani Machele, was interviewed he uttered, saying, “The Siluma shutdown has been happening from 2016, when it initially started we only invited local Deejays, but in 2018 we decided to call up artists from Raplyf just to boost event’s brand, and in 2019 we introduced the big headliner Emtee, just to grow our brand.
“The reason we put up such a heavy line-up is that we are trying to grow our brand, we have reached our goal, the event was such a success, it was the first time in the history of the ‘Silume shutdown’ that we actually sold-out at Computicket, looking at the weather on that day you would expect people not to come, but they actually came in numbers, at 13:00 when we opened our gates the Isolomzi venue was already fully packed.
“After the success of this event, we met with my partner ‘Luvo’ and we have decided to host another event on the 4th of December this year,” Machele expressed.
